keaalu "Good as Gold" follows straight on from "Thunder Daughter"; Sei's actions in the eumin "Bubble City" on the bottom of ia'Maura's ocean have left him with plenty of enemies - and ones who'll stop at nothing to punish him for his supposed infractions.
When his wife and twin brother are rumoured to have been killed in a devastating explosion, Sei realises that he must personally track down and stop the perpetrator, before he himself is killed - or worse.
(Technically, I "won" this one as I got to the winning 50,000 words, but because my brain was trying to cope with writing this AND "Warped" (which I was enjoying more), things went a bit pear shaped and I didn't manage to finish it. I do still plan on getting it completed - see below.)

Information and updates
1st November 2012 - I have resumed work on this story, using it as my NaNoWriMo for this year.
3rd May 2013 - the LJ community I was hosting this story on has had a slight name-change, since the original owner of "good_as_gold" deleted their journal and the name was made available again. (Which I'm really quite glad about, as having numbers on each end of "0good_as_gold0" bothered me.) The old name should divert to the new one, as I'm sure I missed some links.

The Story
Each chapter of "Good as Gold" is posted on Livejournal or Dreamwidth as it becomes available. These two communities have moderated posting, but open membership, if you have any questions or comments.
Good as Gold (part one, draft one). The first 18 "chapters", as uploaded to my journals, but in PDF form for ease of reading. Approx 1.8Mb, close to 80k words.
